How much does it cost?

NICforLife is offered as a subscription service. 
Distributors pay a one-time set up fee of $1,000 and a monthly subscription fee of $250.  Once the Distributor subscribes, any Agent in the Distributor Network can subscribe for NICforLife.  
Agents pay a monthly subscription fee of $10.00.  This subscription enables each Agent to invite up to 250 of their clients to access NICforLife.  Agents with more than 250 clients can purchase additional bundles.
There is no fee for Policy Owners. 
Distributors can also sponsor their Agents and purchase subscriptions for their Agents.  The subscription fee depends on the number of Agents.  Ask NIC for details by contacting sales@ins-connect.com.

How do Agents get access to NICforLife?

Once you have subscribed the module will be available for all of your Agents.  They can subscribe for the module through the subscription center on the NIC Agent App.

Can the Agent’s support staff get access to NICforLife?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as soon as the Agent subscribes, any or their support staff that have access to their NIC account will also have access to NICforLife.

How long does the implementation take?

There is no technical implementation required; the NICforLife module can be turned on instantly. However, some coordination is needed to train your team and plan the introduction and rollout to Agents.

How do Policy Owners get access?

Accepted Answer

Policy Owners can be invited by their Agents or in some cases the Distributor.  The invite is similar to a Facebook or LinkedIn invite.  The agent simply clicks an invite button in the NIC Agent App and the system sends an email invitation to the Policy Owner.  The Policy Owner goes through a quick set process that requires them to confirm some information and then they have access.

What information can Policy Owners see?

Policy Owners receive a consolidated view of their life insurance policies and annuities for all of the Agents they do business with, as long as those Agents are on NIC.  The Policy Owner will see their policies including policy details, policy documents, premium information, carrier contacts, beneficiary information (where available), policy notifications, secure messaging with their advisor, document sharing, and other digital tools designed to help them manage their life insurance.

Do you offer Policy Owner training?

No, we will not have any interactions with Policy Owners.  The NICforLife website contains an introduction video, https://www.nicforlife.com/Once the Policy Owner has subscribed there are additional videos on how to use the service as well as a very extensive ‘help’ feature.
